Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using windcodex.com (the “Site”) or purchasing any plugin distributed by WindCodex (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing the Site, installing a WindCodex plugin, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or products.
1. Licence and intellectual property
All WindCodex plugins, unless otherwise stated, are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3.0 or later. This means you are free to use, modify, and redistribute the plugin code under the terms of the GPL.
However, the following remain the exclusive intellectual property of WindCodex and may not be redistributed without written permission:
- Plugin documentation, guides, and written content
- Marketing materials, banners, and graphics
- The WindCodex brand name, logo, and trademarks
- Support responses and communications
Purchasing a licence gives you the right to use the plugin on your site(s) as permitted by your licence tier. It does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.
2. Licence types and usage
WindCodex Pro plugins are sold on a per-site, annual subscription basis unless otherwise stated. Your licence allows you to:
- Install and activate the plugin on the number of sites permitted by your licence tier
- Receive plugin updates for the duration of your active subscription
- Access support for the duration of your active subscription
You may not:
- Share, resell, or redistribute your licence key
- Use a single-site licence on multiple sites
- Use the plugin on client sites without an appropriate multi-site or agency licence
Licence keys are issued per purchase. Activating a key on more sites than permitted by your licence will result in key deactivation without refund.
3. Compatibility and warranties
All WindCodex plugins are tested and guaranteed to function on a clean installation of the minimum supported version of WordPress and WooCommerce as stated on each plugin’s product page.
Due to the vast number of third-party plugins, themes, and hosting configurations, we do not guarantee compatibility with all environments. Specifically:
- We do not guarantee compatibility with all third-party plugins or themes
- We do not guarantee compatibility with customised or heavily modified WordPress installations
- We do not guarantee specific functionality with page builders, caching plugins, or CDN configurations unless explicitly stated
Should conflicts occur with third-party software, we will make reasonable efforts to assist but are not obligated to resolve all compatibility issues.
Our products are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied. We shall not be liable for any damages including but not limited to direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products.
4. Subscriptions and renewals
WindCodex Pro licences are sold as annual subscriptions. The following applies to all subscriptions:
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
- You will receive a renewal reminder email before your subscription renews
- You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account dashboard
- Cancelling auto-renewal does not provide a refund — your licence remains active until the end of the current billing period
- Support and updates are provided for as long as your subscription remains active
WindCodex reserves the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect for existing subscribers.
5. Refund policy
We stand behind our products 100%. If you are not satisfied with a WindCodex plugin, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions:
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date
- Refunds are only available for first-time purchases — renewal refunds are not provided
- We reserve the right to ask for details about the issue before processing a refund, to help us improve our products
- Refunds are not provided for plugins purchased from third-party marketplaces (e.g. WooCommerce.com) — those platforms handle their own refund policies

6. Support
Support for WindCodex products is available exclusively to customers with an active, paid licence. Free plugin support is provided on the WordPress.org support forums on a best-effort basis.
For Pro licence holders, support includes:
- Bug fixes and compatibility issues related to our plugin code
- Guidance on configuration and setup
- Reasonable troubleshooting assistance
Support does not include:
- Custom development or feature additions
- Issues caused by third-party plugins or themes
- General WordPress or WooCommerce support unrelated to our plugin
- Issues caused by customised or modified plugin code
We aim to respond to all support requests within 1–2 business days. We do not guarantee resolution within any specific timeframe.
7. Updates
Automatic plugin updates are available to all active licence holders. Updates include bug fixes, security patches, new features, and compatibility improvements.
Updates are delivered through the standard WordPress update mechanism. You must have an active licence key installed in the plugin settings to receive automatic updates.
WindCodex reserves the right to discontinue active development of any plugin. In such cases:
- We will provide at least 90 days notice before ending development
- Existing licences will remain functional for their current term
- Pro-rated refunds may be offered at our discretion
8. Prohibited use
You agree not to use our Site or plugins to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of WindCodex or any third party
- Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary components beyond GPL permissions
- Resell, sublicence, or redistribute Pro plugin features without written permission
- Make fraudulent purchases or abuse the refund policy
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WindCodex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business
- Loss of data or data corruption
- Site downtime or performance degradation
- Costs of purchasing substitute products or services
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our products shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We assume no responsibility for any data loss as a result of installing or using a WindCodex product. Always back up your site before installing or updating plugins.
10. Third-party services
Our Site and plugins may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. Access to third-party services is at your own risk.
Our plugins integrate with third-party services including WooCommerce, WordPress AI Connectors, Lemon Squeezy, and others. Use of these integrations is governed by the respective third parties’ terms of service.
11. Modifications to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify existing customers of material changes by email and by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our Site or products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
